Being reasonable gets you nowhere.
If you have the goal of starting a small side business for a bit of extra income then that’s all you get.
You can’t accidentally become more successful than you want to be. You’re not going to trip and fall and land on a seven or eight-figure business. It just doesn’t work that way.
It might be obvious when I put it that way, but that’s not the message you get from the world.
Everyone preaches the benefits of being realistic. Your mom wants you to be realistic so she doesn’t get laughed at when she tells her friends what you do. Your high school guidance counselors told you to be realistic because they can’t imagine anything better than their mediocre office that’s so small that it’s actually a room within another office located at the end of a hallway in a decaying, decrepit high school in Suburbia, USA. Your friends will clown on you if you tell them what you want out of life because they’re too scared to go for what they want out of life.
But if you allow yourself to be honest about your goals…you might actually achieve them.
How do you know what you really want?
Simple.
Pay attention to the fantasy version of yourself that currently only exists in your mind’s eye.
There’s a reason you can’t stop thinking about it.
It’s because it’s who you REALLY want to be.
If you let your mind wander and all you can imagine from yourself is a regular job and a side biz to earn a little extra on the side then fair enough. That’s easy enough to achieve without too much effort. But if you can’t stop fantasizing about Real Success then you NEED to find a way to make it happen.
How to do it:
