If you’ve been in the game for a while then you already know that every couple years there’s a new “Current Thing” that’s going to “kill SEO”.

Remember the voice search apocalypse from a few years ago?😂

The new Current SEO Killer is SGE (Search Generative Experience) AI results in the SERPs.

SEOs have been freaking out for MONTHS now about SGE. It’s very annoying to read about and to be honest I’ve been tuning out 100% of AI conversations for a while because of how irritating the doomerism is.

I can barely even listen to podcasts these days because as soon as they start talking about AI I feel a wave of revulsion and agitation and have to turn it off immediately.

It theoretically could be an interesting topic but the whole “omg humans are fukt lol” conversation got old FAST.

There’s nothing more pathetic than listening to grown men worrying that robots will make them obsolete. It’s sad and weak.

It turns out that all that grief was for nothing because Google just added a new feature that makes the SGE apocalypse fears null and void.
