E-commerce is a “real” business in Google’s eyes, and they’re rewarding it accordingly.
All of the standard SEO tactics that used to work for content sites still work for e-com. Actually saying “still work” is the understatement of the century.
It’s NEVER been easier to rank an e-com site.
Some of the lowest-effort blog posts I’ve ever seen in my life are ranking for competitive keywords just because they’re written by an e-com biz.
Stuff that would never fly on a content site (even during the glory days) is ranking and driving tons of traffic.
