Another day, more evidence that Google employees are scumbags.

A Google software engineer was just charged with using insider information to place bets on Polymarket.

Specifically, he placed bets on the results for the “most-searched person” list and made over a million dollars because his insider status gave him access to the results before they were publicly released.

A lot of white hat SEOs like to act like Google is a neutral authority figure, and that following their rules is a moral imperative.

They genuinely believe that blackhat SEOs are ‘bad people’, as if manipulating the search results in your favor puts you on the wrong side in the cosmic war between good and evil.

The white hats are wrong.
