It’s much easier to open up the faucet on a new revenue stream instead of trying in vain to max out an existing one.
Very common scenario: You find it easy to grow revenue up to a certain point. Every month is better than the last. You’re on a roll. You start thinking you’re the next Rockefeller/Zuckerberg (cuckerberg in some circles)/other baller of your choice. You mentally outline the book you’re going to write about your rocket ship-like path to billions. Up and to the right forever, right?
Then you run into a brick wall that feels literally impossible to push through.
You keep putting in max effort and nothing works.
You want what everyone wants: “number on screen go up”. But the numbers just keep on…staying the same.
