If you’re serious about improving your site’s rankings then hitting the “publish” button and hoping for the best isn’t a winning strategy. You have to put in the post-publishing work if you want your content to really shine.
In today’s guide I’m going to cover the three main things that you need to do EVERY SINGLE TIME after publishing a new post on your site. If you follow these steps then you’ll start to see your content climbing up the SERPs.
Submit the URL to Search Console
If you have a brand new site then Google barely even knows that you exist. They aren’t going to automatically index your new pages (at least not any time soon).
Over time, as you publish more content and gain more links, Google will become aware of your site’s existence and will send their spider to crawl it more frequently.
But in the early days you’re going to have to manually request indexation.
