Scoop Up Long-Tail Keywords and Rich Snippets With FAQs
Structured data that helps your posts perform better in the SERPs
Adding a FAQ section to your content is a great way to increase traffic to your article. It’ll help you rank for long-tail keywords as well as increase the chances of getting a rich snippet at the top of the SERPs.
It’s not too difficult to implement, but there are a few things you need to do to make sure that your FAQs are optimized for Google.
Step 1: Add FAQ schema to your site
The first step is to make sure that you have FAQ schema enabled on your site. If you’re using WordPress, I highly recommend using Yoast FAQ Block. There are others that work well, but Yoast is what I personally use on my sites.
Yoast will create a Schema structured data block that you can add to your posts that will make it easy for Google’s algorithm to read your frequently asked questions. This will help increase your chances of getting a rich snippet in the SERPs.
Step 2: Find questions and answers
Now that you have Yoast installed on your site, the next step is to find questions and answers that you can use to fill out your FAQ section.
The easiest way to do this is to use Ahrefs.
