Fear of success is real.
If you’re a semi-neurotic type of human then negative feedback from friends (should be “friends” with quotes), family, authority figures, and anyone else who ever doubted you or talked shit about your goals is the driving force behind your ambition.
You want to prove everyone wrong. You want to see the look on their face when they realize that you’re better than they ever will be. You fantasize about it on a regular basis (be honest).
What no one tells you is that when you succeed you aren’t just proving other people wrong.
That would be fun and easy.
You’re also proving yourself wrong.
Somewhere along the way you’ve internalized the belief that you deserve to be a loser.
