Great post. As a beginner, jarvis and surfer have been great. Looking to add Ahrefs to my tools soon. Looking forward to the in-depth guides for the top tools as I am sure I am not using these optimally
Do you have thoughts on how Surfer SEO works for either local business homepage optimization or product landing pages? (eg, Phoenix Plumber, Nike Backpack, etc.) Seems to be mostly content focused, but curious of the recos would be helpful in these industries.
Do you use the cheapest version of all of these? In particular Ahrefs, Surfer and Jarvis? It totals around 300 a month just for these (99x3) right? What do you envisage total expenses would be for a fresh new site when building from scratch and learning? Guess at least Ahrefs and Surfer are non-negotioable... Great post!!
I know that you are saying Ahrefs is mandatory - but is there really no other cheaper alternative? Even SemRush is abit cheaper.
Yes you can use Semrush it's very similar.

Do you use python for SEO? If yes, how much value does it add?
I haven't used it. There are already tools that do most of the things that you can do with python.

You can run an audit of any type of page and it will give you a content score which includes things like external and internal links, title, etc.
It is mostly tailored toward blog-type content though (which you should have on a local business or e-commerce site as well, not just affiliate).

No the cheapest version of Ahrefs and Surfer is garbage. Ahrefs: Standard Surfer: Pro
For Jarvis yes you can use the cheapest
Total expenses all depend on what you're trying to do. You're going to be spending at least a few hundred per month on tools.
Thanks - have you tried mangools? Cheap and a bundle of tools. No surfer tou
I haven't used it. But I know people who have and they like it
Thanks - Yoast worth using if you are using surfer?
Yes it's useful
What's your opinion on KWFinder?
It's alright but really basic. I'd rather use something like ahrefs or semrush
Have you tried Clearscope (https://www.clearscope.io/)? It seems similar to Surfer SEO. I'm looking forward to giving both a try.
No I haven't used it.
