If you ask any random man on the street or person in your family what they think about marketing/advertising their first response is always some variation of: “that shit don’t work on me bro they’re wasting their money bro i’m too smart bro”.
The reality is that marketing works on everyone.
Most people don’t know what this means.
They think it’s some kind of battle where if they see an ad once and don’t immediately run out and buy the product that they “won” and the company “lost”.
Obviously things are a little more complicated than that.
The best marketing works by appealing to things that all humans innately want/need.
You can’t resist it.
That doesn’t necessarily mean you buy every product someone tries to sell you. Not everything is meant for everyone.
But if there’s something you’re lacking, some type of hole deep inside of you that you’re trying to fill, and the right message hits you at the right time: you’ll buy.
Everyone does.
